Where I Belong

The inspiration for this piece comes from a special time in my life where I was unsure, often worried, depressed and, at the same time, surrounded by loving memories and reminders of where I came from. I had gone through a massive change and ended up living back where I grew up. The house itself and the land surrounding it is the setting for the music. Along with this, there are motifs that represent specific people or events important to me. My Father and Grandfather are two that have major recurring melodies. “Where I Belong” is extremely close to my heart and I hope you love playing it as much as I do.
